Celebrating National Catholic Sisters Week, art and song brought the young and the young-at-heart together. “Memory Makers” was a multigenerational collaboration between Sacred Heart Preschool children and retired Ursuline Sisters of Louisville. Funded by a grant, students from Sacred Heart Preschool crafted and sang alongside the sisters.
The project grant was secured by Amy Olson, Director of Mission Effectiveness for Sacred Heart Schools. Music and art specialists from Sacred Heart School for the Arts, Dr. Laura Chipe and Tara Knorp, collaborated with the students and sisters. On the final day of National Catholic Sisters Week, March 14, 2017, the works of art and song, complete with gestures, were presented to parents.
